Surprise & Delight - TE.com Store Launch

When a $14 B global technology leader launches a direct to consumer online store, we needed to create a big unconventional splash.  Leveraging our partnership with the Andretti Formula E Team, we took the race car drivers and our TE engineer to small and medium-size technology businesses in NYC to surprise and delight engineers with race tickets and gift certificates to the new online store.  We documented the day on social media and with a recap video that garnered over 500,000 views. 

Similar to how travel enthusiasts visit Kayak.com to compare flights and hotels, engineers go to Octopart.com to view pricing, inventory and minimum order quantities (MOQ).   We also partnered with Octopart to bring maximum value to engineers through pricing + inventory, cross-references on competitor parts, CAD models and special promotion offers like free shipping.  Under a pay for performance model, Octopart has driven the highest revenue compared to other e-commerce media channels.
